This domain is about hierarchies, subordination, and overorder. Vertical dependence as well as responsibility. In one case, the dependence is on those who have experience, knowledge and powers that the individual himself does not have but sometimes needs to relate to or access: Authorities, schools, parents. God? In the second case, the responsibility of the younger, the next generation or those to whom the individual is in a responsible or privileged position in relation to. These are roles that can shift, over time and in different contexts. One question we can ask the material is: What do the interviewees say that can help us understand how they relate to the vertical realities?
