"Wild Psychotherapy"

Irvin Yalom is one of the greats. Psychotherapist in the existential-humanistic school. And completely sea-wild, it seems.
That’s an interesting thing. One can, after all, be attracted to the idea of a therapist who is prepared to make such great deviations from the “protocol”, common practice, be so personal, human, “himself”. And I have no doubt that Yalom has done this with good judgment, after all, that it has all been good. Like an artistry.
Yalom interviewed by Ann Lagerström in the latest issue of Modern Psychology:

But nothing can be taught, I think. It can’t form a school. Usually, forty-nine times out of fifty? (“Ninety-nine out of a hundred” sounds too mkt), in the hands of most people who feel called, it just gets crazy, counterproductive… If not worse.
