Dr. Phil & Sects

Dr. Phil & Sects

2021-07-21 SH

Dr. Phil talks to a cult defector and his family. Two thoughts.

One is that most sects are so amazingly similar. Psychologically, it’s case closed a long time ago. It’s like the anatomy of medical science, nothing new is to discover there. Scientists within Science of Religion can continue to map, of course. It’s like finding new mushroom species. And those who work therapeutically with defectors of course, they will continue to have a lot to do.

The second idea is that Dr. Phil is indeed a bastion of experience and psychological common sense.
