Delusion or alternative worldview

I can’t decide what explains best. Psychiatry or ordinary human infirmity supported by a suitable alternative worldview?

Aftonbladet also reports:

I don’t know what I think about the division between psychiatry and ordinary human infirmity, not crystal clear… “Psychiatry” would be psychosis or severe personality disorder, for example? Deep depression.
Remember a lecture once where we learned that research on suicide bombers, contrary to what one might think, showed that they are not mentally ill (like what I mention above). The hundreds who stormed Congress? Those who threaten or are prepared to set fire to abortion clinics, or fur farms? Abuse in a religious movement? Etc., etc.
Sometimes human infirmity may be enough, i.e. things that are normally kept in check by culture, societal norms, what is legal. Along with a strong conviction, one thing or another, that can then give a kind of “free pass” to break and live out this forbidden.
But in principle, however, it is an important distinction to consider. Envy, jealousy, lust, vengeance, etc. belong to the human domain. Normally kept in check. Sometimes it breaks through. (Think of the term “Crime Passionnel” for example, i.e. to kill if you find your partner with another, which in many countries has been seen as a mitigating circumstance…)
That’s what courts have to decide on certain crimes. Was the act carried out under the influence of severe mental disorder (psychosis), which usually provide care, or was it something else, e.g. that you did not have self-control enough to keep the human decrepit in check, which one should be punished for, “correction in the ranks”
No, hard to understand other than that would be “a serious mental disorder”… But you sometimes hear about tragedies where a father/husband (is it almost always), who is deprived of custody of his children, does something similar, directed in revenge against the woman, with the motive “that if I’m not going to get, then you shouldn’t get either”… Which, from a darkly selfish logic, concludes that this is the fairest solution… It is not known if anything like this was in the background here, which added on.
